چکیده
To determine how intra-row spacing and potassium levels affected sweet corn (Zea mays L. var. Saccharata), a field experiment was conducted in Junagadh (Gujarat) during the Rabi season of 2016–17. Four (5, 10, 15 20 cm) four (0, 20, 40, 60 kg K2O/ha) were combined into sixteen different treatment combinations. Three replications factorial randomized block design used to set up experiment. Based on data growth attributes significant maximum recorded dry matter accumulation (102.46 144.54 g plant-1 ) at DAS harvest, absolute rate (3.07 1.41 day-1) 45-60 DAS-harvest, crop (0.00275 0.00126 m-2day-1) DAS-harvest under (20 cm), respectively.
 According attributes, (K4) K2O + 120 N2O P2O5 kg/ha resulted (96.93 142.00 plant-1) (3.03 1.39 (0.00272 0.00124 respectively. Economic analysis showed that higher net returns B: C ratio from (Sweet-16) can be secured by sowing cm application K2O/ha.

The resulting 28 crosses along with parents and a standard check Sugar 75 and Madhuri were evaluated in Randomi...
متن کاملGrowth and Yield of Maize (zea Mays L.) as Affected by Row Spacing and Weed Competition Durations
A field experiment was conducted for two consecutive years (2003 and 2004) to study the effect of row spacing (75, 65 and 55cm) and different weed competition durations (0, 15,30,45,60 days after emergence and throughout the growth period) on weeds density and biomass and growth and yield of maize. Reducing row spacing significantly suppressed the weed density and biomass. The maximum reduction...

The present study aims to investigate the effects of nitrogen fertilization and municipal waste compost on yield, yield components and some of the grain macronutrients of sweet corn. A field experiment was carried out as a split plot in randomized complete block design with three replications in 2015 at Agriculture and Natural Resources Research Center Zarghan-Fars, Iran. The main plot consiste...
متن کاملFilm coating with sodium alginate improves seed germination of sweet corn (Zea mays var. Saccharata) under osmotic stress conditions
Drought stress influences seed germination and seedling growth of many plants. Seed coating is technique of covering seeds with adhesive agents to improve seed performance and plant establishment and could be used to alleviate the negative effects of osmotic stress. In order to solve the problem of low germination and poor vigor of sweet corn under osmotic stress conditions (0, -0.3, -0.6 and -...
متن کاملGermination and seedling growth of corn (Zea mays l.) under varying levels of copper and zinc
The heavy metal tolerance in corn (Zea mays L.) var. ‘Neelum’ was assessed at germination and seedling growth after having subjected it to different concentrations of CuSO4 and ZnSO4. Germination was not affected by any of the metal tested, whereas initial growth was strongly inhibited by increasing concentrations of ZnSO4. Seedlings developed toxicity symptoms in the presence of both metals bu...
